Some of the best Indian food I have ever eaten. Highly recommend the eggplant and okra. The samosas are amazing and a great choice first people first trying Indian food. The staff is super nice and even tweak the recipes for me to avoid dairy. The lunch and dinner specials are great ways to try the entrees. Highly recommend Indian Express Cousine in Bartlett!

Indian vegetarian restaurant, serving street food snacks, lunch and dinner specials. We got a take away of Khasta kachori chat , chilli paneer and gulab jamun.

First time trying Indian Cuisine in the area and was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food here at Indian Express Cuisine was. We ordered each of the various breads, the Samosa appetizer, Chole Butara, and the Jeera Rice. All were extremely flavorful and we left very full. Staff was very kind and welcoming and we look forward to visiting again!

Just “okay.” I recently tried this place to try and find a new Indian restaurant than my usual favorite place in Niles. I ordered the butter chicken, gobi manchurian, and a few pieces of garlic naan. The good: heat level on the butter chicken was excellent for me (but it will probably be too hot for most people who are not used to eating Indian food). The portion sizes were fair I’d say – though almost on the small side for the price. Everything was hot to eat when I brought it home (like a 15 min drive). The bad: the naan tastes like Trader Joe’s or store bought – not home made. The gobi manchurian does not have an Indo/Chinese taste at all – it’s mostly just Indian flavored and they are veggie balls, not actual gobi pieces that are coated/fried. The texture of the veggie balls was awful like cornmeal and definitely not satisfying like straight up cauliflower. The veggie balls were soupy whereas the places I frequent make it crispy (I’m aware that it was for pickup, but still) super soggy and not the right flavor. The chicken pieces were inconsistent and cut too big vs some too small – this place is also heavy on the cinnamon and the flavor is very pronounced in this butter chicken, so much so that I had to doctor it at home a bit to eat it.

Writing this review after trying this place out for the 3rd time. Honestly its a great restaurant, the owners are really friendly and do a good job with customer interactions. The food for the price and portion is really good. It has a distinguishable taste from other Indian restaurants. Will definitely continue to come back tho this place. Hope to see this place evolve in Bartlett as time goes on!

While I normally wouldn’t be quick to make an Indian vegetarian restaurant part of my weekly lunch schedule, I have done just that. I typically pick up lunch from Indian Express every Friday, and am consistently happy with my experience – timeliness, friendliness, and quality food at an affordable price. Keep it up!

How is it that Tika Masala doesn’t come with white rice???? This is automatically included everywhere else! Prices are so high that they can’t even include rice. It’s like buying egg foo young without the rice, buying biscuits and gravy without the biscuits or ordering a cheeseburger but needing to pay extra for the bun. I had my order delivered- can you imagine the disappointment when it didn’t have rice? What am I supposed to eat with this if it just has the gravy and cheese pieces????? Go someplace else.

We just picked up food here about an hour ago. We wanted to do the dinner special, but I think some communication was mixed up. We ordered the bhindi masala and and chicken tikka masala (they recently started adding meat dishes). I enjoyed the bhindi masala while my partner said the chicken tikka masala was heavy on the tomato flavor. First time trying this place and will try it again to get a better idea multitudes of flavors.

Excellent. The food is tasty, fresh and authentic. We waited a little because they were cooking our food on the spot. It was worth every second. Ordered the lunch combo with baingan bartha and chana masala. The steamed rice is superb because it has saffron.

It’s very good food but for unknown reasons they’re really stingy on rice. They give you a tiny amount of rice and charge like $4 for more rice. It’s such a cheap staple, it makes no sense to me! And if I ask for a bit more rice, they just tell you that it’s extra and this is what it comes with, which is off putting. I’d be happy to pay $1 more for a normal amount of rice with my dish!
