Food was good! Nice family friendly breakfast joint in the downtown area, servers were quick on their feet and pleasant. Food came out fast as well and was pretty filling, not much seasoning going on (personal opinion). Prices are great. Overall great spot to jump in, grab breakfast and jump back out into the town!

Food and service was excellent for our first time there. Tried out there housemade Corned Beef hash and it did not disappoint. The biscuits and gravy was delicious as well. We experienced an issue and they comped our meal without being asked to. It wasn’t necessary. I would have paid full price regardless. I definitely will be returning.

“That was pretty good eatin’ wutnit?” Pa said as we drove away. Can’t imagine a place earning much higher praise than that. It’s not often that a breakfast joint outperforms my expectations. I can usually tell what kind of experience it’s going to be by the time I’m seated. That was not the case here where I underestimated the fine folks at Grumpy’s. I should have known when I saw Coast Guardsmen gathered here that it was the best choice around. The service was good but the food was much better. We had a short wait – outside because they met us at the door and told us we would have to wait our turn. Coffee comes in huge campers mugs. The French toast and pancakes are both laced perfectly with a little cinnamon and nutmeg. But the real gem is the homemade corned beef hash. I ordered the hash omelette, but the waitress made a mistake and wrote down just the hash. That was the best mistake she’s ever made! Out came a generous portion of what I can easily say is the best corned beef has I’ve ever eaten. I do hope to come back but I can’t think of ordering anything else. Be sure to give it a try. It’s good eatin’ to be sure!

We came here four years ago. It was out first breakfast as Husband and Wife. We found the place by accident. And I can tell you we make it a point to come here if we’re ever in the area. Food is amazing. Very kind staff. Did I mention the amazing food??? Very down home relaxing atmosphere. So happy for our 4 year anniversary We see they survived covid and are still here.

Great place for breakfast! This is where the locals eat, so you know it’s good. Eating here is becoming a tradition every time we visit the area. Oh and they have great seafood festival posters for decor!
