I travel to El Reys market from West bend, kind of a pilgrimage! When I need quality veggies or terrific pre marinated Mexican meats that’s my place. They even have someone making tortillas fresh. Today I splurged and bought the El Reys salsas-so good, yummy.

I went to the restaurant, Taco Loco, located in the store. I don’t speak Spanish, but the men who took my order were patient and helpful. I ordered burritos, which are as big as I remember them being (from many years ago. I also ordered horchata, a favorite drink. All the food was tasty, meat plentiful. They also offer a plate, which includes beans and rice.

El Rey is my go-to for Latin groceries! Great prices, fantastic selection, and family owned. It’s not decked-out fancy like Cermak, but I like the stores neighborhood feel. Staff has always been very kind and helpful.

I love going to the store. Very well organized friendly staff smaller version of the other ones but I feel it’s well maintained. And I would recommend anyone that needs to get authentic. Hispanic ingredients or ready cooked food that’s given to try.

Update: After waiting in line to check out for quite a few minutes (4th out of 5), I get to the front of the line and the check out person turns her light off and says “I’m closed” and walks away. Now again at then end of another line spend a total of more than ten minutes waiting to check out. I mention that the lane tight next to him shut down on me making me wait an extra six minutes.This check out person only tells me my order total, and after payment “have a great day.”
