The other review is right, this Dairy Queen is closed. My mom and I went there today, took a very long trip to get there, a whole hour long bus ride, and were disappointed. The website for Bay Plaza’s Shopping Mall lists the store as open. In fact, it only lists 1 store being closed on the site, when in reality there are a bunch of closed shops there. I don’t know if it’s permanent or if some stores are just taking longer to reopen. I hope Dairy Queen isn’t closed. It’s the only one in all of New York State. I discovered their Tiramisu milkshake when I visited the store for the first time while visiting my sister in Connecticut earlier this summer. It would suck if I only get access to it by having to visit my sister since I don’t have a car to drive to the nearest DQ which is in New Jersey. What a shame.

Normally when I receive service at this particular location the service is pretty good however this evening my husband went to go get me something to drink before closing and a very rude young lady said that their manager said they were close so they’re closed. She has said it in such a way that was very rude and very clipped. I had never experienced this before at this particular location however it definitely left a bad impression. There wasn’t an apology she said what she said and walked off. I’m always hesitant to go into establishments where anyone under the age of 25 is behind the counter because it would seem that their level of professionalism is at an all time low and this is no exception. There are many managers at this facility: managers are pleasant and willing to work with customers however at this location the manager wasn’t present and a young lady was. Expressing the feelings of a manager to customers which in my opinion from being in customer service over 10 years is extremely unprofessional the way she delivered the message. If an establishment closes at 9:30 p.m. and I arrived prior to that time then I should still be able to be served and if not served at least treated with some sort of respect. However, at this location it would seem that everyone just wanting to leave at exactly 930 things were cleaned and employees were not at the front of the counter where they should have been I arrived 20 minutes prior to the establishment closing. I had a terrible experience here. The food took way too long to receive (3 total trips to the counter! Including once to ask where was the ice cream cone from my order?). The ice-cream cone I received was not filled and when I complained the guy at the counter just said he wasn’t the one who made it but did absolutely nothing to correct it. The food was awful-lukewarm, the fries were rubbery and the hamburger was a very thin patty that tasted re-heated several time. The hamburger bun was way thicker than the actual “meat”. And I was asked if I wanted sprinkles to which I said yes without thinking-it wasn’t until later on my receipt I noticed I was charged extra for them. Sprinkles come standard anywhere else! Definitely not worth the money.

Disgusting experience. Staff don’t care about customers. Product quality is zero. Staff need training and more knowledge about Customercare service. They need to learn how to smile when someone smile at you.

alright let me tell y’all,me and my 2 other friends went to get 3 burgers and 2 cokes. the sodas came quick while the burgers took 30-40 minutes.the ladies were so rude.we also had originally ordered a blizzard and they told us that they didnt have anything of blizzards while a few moments later they came out with blizzards. they also kept getting other customers orders wrong. and when our burgers FINALLY came….THEY WERE COLD!!!! NEVER EATING THERE AGAIN.

I had to write this review after today. It was my birthday and I went to take my daughter to get a orange Julius and a free birthday blizzard treat for myself. They didn’t have an Orange Julius and my daughter who has Autism flipped out (of course not understanding that things like this happen) . I was beyond amazed by how kind, understanding, and patient they were trying to help her make a different selection.

I visited this Dairy Queen on Easter Sunday the service was pretty decent until things went left, for one the cashier got my order wrong and after I paid and I’m waiting for my items to be made I noticed none of the ice cream servers wear gloves and as one of the young ladies was making my sons sundae she grabbed the brownie with her bare hand to put it in the bowl and when I asked for it to be made over she had the nerve to catch an attitude, my thing is how would you like it if you someone touched your food with their bare hands would you still eat it? I don’t think so, just think of how you would want your food handled when you’re out somewhere?!

As of april 2021 this location is still closed, while all the other restaurants are open…seems like it’s permanently closed or idk what’s taking them so long to reopen. Such a shame since this was a great place to eat at.
