“You’ve never been here?” said the woman who took my order. Now I know why she was surprised. The food was amazing! Dark red and flavorful enchilada sauce, spicy green and red hot sauce full of nuance, fresh salsa with my chips full of onions, tomatoes, cilantro, soft flour tortillas that had the perfect balance of everything it should, beans and rice some of the best I’ve ever had. As I was eating it I was amazed that everything just kept tasting so rich and wonderful. I’ve eaten at hundreds of Mexican restaurants all over southern California…including throughout Los Angeles, and this was really wonderful. The staff were so friendly and everyone there, staff and customers, know how special this restaurant is…and now so do I. It’s only take out, but as their sign inside says, it’s definitely not fast food…in quality and taste, it’s way beyond. Try it and you’ll not be disappointed!

Consuelo’s is advertised as an authentic Mexican restaurant with great food. I visited this place yesterday and it appears to be a local favorite as it stayed busy. I came with some co-workers who are also from other states. I ordered the shredded beef taco salad without olives (Don’t judge m lol). I must say that it was great! It was a pretty big taco salad and the presentation was . I would advise calling your order ahead as the lines can get long. If you don’t they are good about getting everyone’s order In and letting you pay when you get to the window. There’s no seating to eat in so everything is to Go. I recommend. Only gave 4 stars cause I’ve only had the taco salad

Great Mexican food made fresh to order. My favorite dish is the Chile Verde. They display a Hotness gauge to let you know how hot it is for the day. Consuelo’s is very popular among the locals & even passersby that come back time & time again. They also Cater for any & many events. Suggest calling in your order as you will have to wait a little if you don’t. They aren’t a fast food establishment, so be patient and when you bite into your food, it is “Very Well Worth It”.

First time eating at Consuelos and it was very good. Loved the homemade tortillas I hadn’t smelled fresh homemade tortillas in quite sometime. It’s better to order ahead of time to avoid long wait times for your order. But it is worth the wait when you taste the food that is made fresh daily.
