If you actually like coffee – meaning strong coffee that tastes like coffee – Cafe Fixe is the best coffee in Boston – period. The only other comparable coffee experience I’ve had in the US is in New Orleans. If your preferred coffee is any espresso drink or a proper pour-over or french press, it is completely irrational to go anywhere else if you live in the area (yes – it is better than Blue Bottle). If your preferred coffee is some version of coffee flavored milk or coffee flavored milk shake or anything super sweet – go elsewhere.

I love Cafe Fixe! The servers are so fast and friendly, the coffee is fantastic! I am so glad Starbucks across the street closed, so now Cafe Fixe can flourish. I am very happy to support local businesses. They have indoor and outdoor seating and they are one of the earliest open coffee shops in Brookline! Love them!

This place is great. I almost gave it 4 stars because the prices are so high. It’s worth the quality though, so I cannot deny it the full 5. They do a fantastic espresso. They will also make an iced oatmilk latte for the non purists. I’m glad Fixe is still around, I appreciate the dedication to a fine Cafe experience.

Quaint and comfy coffee stop. Great selection of coffees, fig cakes on tap. Good cookies, plenty of water, toilet. This place has everything you need and i have yet to try a cup of coffee that i did not enjoy. This place is definitely worth checking out. Four stars not five? No Wifi, no working power outlets, it’s 2022, easy fix!!!

This is my absolute favorite iced coffee and scone in Brookline! Personable staff as well. I come here often and can’t recommend it enough. (Tip: bring cash for a “discounted” price. Small credit card fees are added to item prices.)

Per many, many of the comments, the owner and some of the baristas are super pretentious and judgmental. It’s just so weird; like, what a life to spend judging people because they prefer oatmilk. They upcharge for card and play non-stop Sketches of Spain/Kind of Blue/all that jazz you forced on people when you were an insufferable Sophomore in high school. Just, like, get over yourselves; good lord.
